In the best area of the appellation D.O.Ca. Rioja, on a spectacular bend of the River Ebro, lies Finca Valpiedra, one of Spain's great terroirs.
The exceptional conditions of this 80 hectare estate are a result of the microclimate and soil type, formedby a layer of pebble stones and limestone.
These stones hold the key to the quality of these wines, acting as a natural filter and giving the vines the exact amount of water, light and hear necessary.
At Finca Valpiedra, the grapes are hand-picked followed by a strict selection process. After vinification the wines will age in barriques of French and American oak.
All these characteristics combined make Finca Valpiedra the only winery in Rioja that is a member of the "Associacíon de Grandes Pagos de España" - the Great Single Vineyards Estates of Spain.
